I  worked in documentary film production for fifteen years whilst based in London and during that time I directed and produced documentaries for the BBC, Channel Four and ITV.  I made programmes on a wide variety of subjects ranging from the coroners working in murder central LA, to medieval kings and aspiring musicians.

Some productions required the intimacy of a small crew and for these projects I shot all the footage myself on digital video.  These included a music series with John Peel (Channel Four) and a one off documentary selected for the Commonwealth Film Festival and broadcast worldwide (Life of Brian – TVF International).   Part of my work was for corporate clients who ranged from Vision Express to Rolex and The Post Office.

I enjoy working with charities and made a film locally for Surf Action which was just starting out as a charity supporting war veterans.  They now have a national and international profile and are still using my documentary promo to explain their work and raise funds.

There is a vibrant art scene in St.Ives and I’ve made a number of films for Tate St.Ives as well as The Leach Pottery and St.Ives School of Painting.
